SG60 Heart&Soul Experience Draws to a Close on 31 December, Inspiring Hope for the Future
18 December 2025
The SG60 Heart&Soul Experience will welcome its last visitors on 31 December, having run for nearly four months since its opening on 26 August. The SG60 flagship event, which comprises a ticketed experience and a non-ticketed series of installations, is expected to welcome about 2 million visitors, with about 150,000 tickets booked.
More than 7,000 survey respondents expressed optimism about Singapore’s future and their place in it after going through the Heart&Soul Experience. Collectively, respondents envisioned a Singapore that balances progress with compassion; where economic strength goes hand-in-hand with social equity and care for the vulnerable. They aspired to a future that remains safe, inclusive and united where people of all backgrounds feel a strong sense of belonging and the opportunity to thrive. Many also expressed hope that Singapore would continue to advance in innovation and technology without losing its human touch, cultural roots and strong community spirit.
Building Our Shared Future Together
Heart&Soul’s Executive Creative Director, who is also Chief Librarian and Chief Innovation Officer at the National Library Board (NLB), Mr Gene Tan, said: “When we set out to create the Heart&Soul Experience, our goal was to inspire hope in Singaporeans about their place in Singapore’s future. To see such an overwhelmingly positive response has been both humbling and heartening. It tells us that Heart&Soul resonates deeply with Singaporeans, not just as an exhibition, but as a reflection of our hopes and dreams for our shared future here in Singapore. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated team and partners whose passion and commitment brought this vision to life.”
In partnership with Tote Board and Singapore Pools as part of their 2025 Community With A Heart Initiative, the Heart&Soul Experience features free interactive Windows of Time photo booths inviting the public to reflect on our connections as a community and capture a photo as a pledge to our shared journey into tomorrow’s Singapore. Tote Board and Singapore Pools have pledged $500,000 to the initiative, dedicating it to charities championing mental wellness through Community Chest. The charities are: Childrens’ Aid Society, Club HEAL, Mindfull Community Limited, and Singapore Association for Mental Health.
Jointly organised by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) and NLB, the Heart&Soul Experience brings to life Singapore’s vision for tomorrow through a voyage across our past, present and future. With the use of immersive storytelling and generative AI, the showcase creates a personalised and imaginative experience for each visitor, connecting them to their future in Singapore. It features a timed and ticketed personalised experience spanning levels 3 and 4 of Orchard Library, as well as public installations across the level 1 atria of Orchard Central and orchardgateway.
Following the conclusion of the Heart&Soul Experience, select components from the exhibition including “World 60”, “Curiocity” and a repurposed “Windows In The Sky” will be retained in the future Orchard Library, which is set to reopen in the second half of 2026. The installations will inspire library patrons to read, learn and discover well into the future.
With two more weeks to go, visitors can still book free tickets to the exhibition before its closure on 31 December 2025. For booking of tickets and more information, please visit www.heartandsoul.gov.sg.
